Overview
The Zero Tolerance 0470 is a pocket knife designed by Dmitry Sinkevich for demanding everyday use. Its Drop Point blade in CPM 20CV steel and its titanium handle enhanced with a marbled carbon fiber inlay make it an EDC companion that is both high-performing and aesthetically refined, suited for daily tasks as well as occasional professional use.
Technical Features
- CPM 20CV blade steel: produced through powder metallurgy, with high chromium and vanadium carbide content, it offers high resistance to corrosion and wear, for an edge that lasts longer between sharpenings.
- Hardness HRC 60-62: ensures a good balance between edge retention and ease of resharpening.
- Blade length 8.6 cm, thickness 3.07 mm: dimensions suited for discreet carry while retaining a blade capable of handling various tasks.
- Titanium handle with marbled carbon fiber inlay: the fibers are randomly laid down and then set in resin, creating a smooth surface and a unique visual finish on each piece.
- Titanium framelock with hardened steel lockbar insert: reinforces the durability of the blade lock over time.
- Flipper opening on KVT ball bearings: smooth and fast one-handed blade deployment.
- Reversible titanium pocket clip, bead-blasted finish: carriable on the right or left, tip-up.
Benefits
- An optimized size-to-weight ratio: the format of a medium-sized knife at just 92 g thanks to the titanium handle scales.
- A blade that resists corrosion durably, appreciated for daily outdoor use or in humid environments.
- A polished aesthetic thanks to the contrast between black and silver titanium and the marbled carbon fiber inlay.
- A reliable locking system designed for regular and intensive use.
- American manufacturing with detailed hardware: black oxide pivot screw and nut, black anodized aluminum standoff.
Use and Care
As with any knife featuring a high-carbide steel blade, regular maintenance (cleaning, drying, and light lubrication of the pivot) helps maintain smooth opening on the KVT bearings and the longevity of the locking mechanism. The ZT0470 belongs to a range launched in 2019 whose production ended in 2024, a factor worth noting for collectors and fans of the brand.
