Protective eyewear

Ballistic and protective eyewear, not to be confused with riflescopes, which are aiming optics. The department brings together Wiley X models, including the WX Climb, plus retention cords and floating cords. Ballistic eyewear is certified to withstand fragment impact at a given velocity; ordinary sunglasses, however sturdy, are not. Tints are chosen by use: clear for work under cover and at night, amber for contrast in grey weather, smoke for full sun. Many models take interchangeable lenses, which avoids buying one frame per tint.
