Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 SFP EBR-4 MOA - Long Range Precision

Overview

The Viper® PST™ Gen II 5-25x50 SFP EBR-4 MOA from Vortex Optics is designed for precision shooters seeking a consistent image and an always-readable reticle, regardless of the magnification chosen. Thanks to its second focal plane (SFP) design, the EBR-4 reticle maintains a fixed size on screen, making rapid corrections easier both in the field and on the range. Built for long-range shooting, this scope combines high-definition optics with rugged construction, tailored to Swiss standards of reliability and precision.

Technical Specifications

• 5-25x magnification, 50 mm objective: wide adjustment range suited to both short distances and extreme shots
• HD optical system with XD elements and XR coatings: clarity, contrast and color fidelity even in low-light conditions
• EBR-4 reticle in second focal plane (SFP): constant reticle size at any magnification, quick reading of MOA references for range estimation and windage correction
• Side illumination, 11 levels: adjustment built into the parallax knob for effective aiming at dawn or dusk
• Rapid Zero Return (RZR) turrets: instant return to the original zero after significant elevation adjustments, ideal for multi-turn corrections
• 30 mm one-piece aircraft-grade aluminum tube: rigidity and shock resistance for intensive use
• Argon purge, O-ring seals: total sealing and long-lasting fog protection
• Side parallax focus: precise sharpness adjustment without leaving the shooting position
• 97 mm eye relief: comfort and safety, even with significant recoil
• 1/4 MOA click graduation: fine, repeatable adjustments

Advantages

• Sharp, bright image thanks to ArmorTek coatings that protect the lenses from scratches, dust and fingerprints
• Consistent EBR-4 reticle in SFP: no need to recalculate references with every magnification change
• Reliable, fast return to zero thanks to the RZR system, an advantage for shooters alternating between distances
• Waterproof, fogproof construction suited to Swiss weather conditions, from alpine fog to humid days
• Lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum housing (907 g) for balanced mounting on the rifle
• Progressive illumination across 11 levels to adapt to all lighting conditions throughout the day

Use and Maintenance

Clean the lenses with a microfiber cloth and a dedicated optics cleaner, never rubbing dry to preserve the ArmorTek coatings. The sealed, argon-purged housing limits routine maintenance, but it is recommended to regularly check the condition of the seals and protective caps. Store the scope in a dry place between uses and avoid direct impacts on the turrets to preserve the accuracy of MOA settings over time.
