Vortex Viper HD 5-25x50 FFP VMR-4 MOA - Long Range Riflescope

Overview

The Vortex Viper HD 5-25x50 FFP VMR-4 MOA is designed for demanding long-range shooters and hunters seeking high-definition optics combined with a reticle graduated in minutes of angle (MOA). Positioned in the front focal plane (FFP), the VMR-4 reticle maintains constant subtensions at all magnifications, from 5x to 25x, simplifying range estimation, wind corrections, and leading moving targets.

Technical Specifications

• 5-25x magnification, 50 mm objective: extended zoom range suited for medium and long-range shooting
• HD optical system: selected glass offering high resolution, reduced chromatic aberration, and enhanced color fidelity, for a sharp image from center to edge
• Illuminated VMR-4 MOA reticle, front focal plane: usable for range estimation, holdovers, wind corrections, and shots on moving targets, with wind reference points on the drop lines
• 30 mm aircraft-grade aluminum tube: robust and lightweight structure, argon-purged for waterproofing and fog resistance
• Exposed elevation turret with RevStop system: reliable return to zero after each adjustment, 1/4 MOA per click, 68 MOA total elevation travel, 25 MOA per revolution
• Capped windage turret: 42 MOA total travel, protected against accidental adjustments during field use
• ArmorTek coating and high-transmission multi-coatings: lens protection against scratches, dirt, and oil residue
• Side focus parallax adjustment: precise adjustment without moving from the shooting position
• 97 mm eye relief, 356 mm length, 822 g weight: controlled footprint for mounting on most shooting platforms

Advantages

• A consistent and readable image at all magnifications thanks to the front focal plane, essential for accurate estimations in real conditions
• Repeatable return to zero between shooting sessions thanks to the RevStop system, saving time and boosting reliability for the demanding shooter
• Increased resistance to external elements (dust, moisture, light impacts) thanks to argon purging and ArmorTek coating
• Easier reading of wind corrections and holdovers directly on the reticle, without additional complex calculations

Use and Maintenance

Clean the lenses with a microfiber cloth and a product suited to ArmorTek optical coatings, avoiding harsh solvents. Check turret tightness before each outing and verify the zero point after any extended transport or impact. The 30 mm aircraft-grade aluminum tube and argon purging ensure good long-term durability, even with regular field use.
