Overview
The Vortex Strike Eagle 1-10x24 FFP EBR-8 BDC MRAD riflescope combines the engagement speed of 1x magnification with the precision of 10x for long-range shooting. Designed for AR platforms as well as tactical and sporting use, it is aimed at demanding Swiss shooters seeking a versatile instrument, from close-range shooting up to 600 meters with .223/5.56 and .308/7.62 ammunition.
Technical Features
- 1-10x variable magnification: instant switch from close-range to long-range engagement without changing optics
- EBR-8 BDC MRAD first focal plane reticle: scale proportional to magnification, glass-etched, optimized for .223/5.56 and .308/7.62 ammunition, compatible with other calibers thanks to BDC technology
- Motion-activated illumination: automatically turns on at the slightest movement and switches off after 10 minutes of inactivity to preserve battery life
- XD optical system: low-dispersion glass for high resolution, consistent sharpness, and reduced chromatic aberration
- 30 mm monotube: optimized alignment for increased precision and enhanced durability
- Compact dimensions: length of 10.0" (about 25.4 cm) and weight of 21.6 oz (about 613 g), leaving room on the rail for additional accessories
- Aircraft-grade aluminum construction: low-glare matte black anodizing, waterproof and nitrogen-purged for all-weather use
Benefits
- A single instrument to cover close-range shooting up to 600 meters, without needing multiple optics
- Reliable FFP reticle at all magnifications for range estimation and holdover compensation
- Battery life preserved through automatic motion activation and shutoff after 10 minutes
- Proven ruggedness thanks to aircraft-grade aluminum construction and monotube design, resistant to recoil impacts
- ArmorTek lens coating protects against scratches, oil, and dirt for easier field maintenance
- Complete waterproofing and nitrogen purging ensure reliable use in all weather conditions, including at altitude
Use and Maintenance
The included throw lever allows for quick magnification adjustment, particularly useful when shooting distances change. The fast-focus eyepiece makes it easy to achieve a sharp reticle image within seconds. Clean the lenses regularly with a microfiber cloth suitable for optics to preserve the multi-coated anti-reflective treatments. Thanks to nitrogen purging and enhanced waterproofing, the scope withstands the most varied Swiss weather conditions, from lowland shooting to mountain outings.
