Vortex Razor UHD 18x56 Binoculars - UHD Optics, Abbe Koenig Prisms

Overview

The Razor® UHD 18x56 represents the pinnacle of the Vortex Optics range: alpha binoculars designed for very long-distance observation, where classic binoculars reach their limits. Thanks to their UHD (Ultra High Definition) optical system and Abbe Koenig prisms, they offer resolution, contrast, and color fidelity comparable to a mounted spotting scope, while retaining the handling ease of a handheld pair of binoculars. A preferred choice for mountain hunting, wildlife observation, or any activity requiring precise spotting over long distances.

Technical Specifications

• 18x magnification, 56 mm objective: identify details at distances where standard binoculars are no longer sufficient

• Grip and eye comfort described as the benchmark in the high-magnification binocular category
• Substantial weight savings compared to a mounted spotting scope, without sacrificing observation range
• Optimal versatility for extended observation thanks to precise diopter and interpupillary adjustment

Use and Maintenance

The Razor UHD 18x56 comes with a GlassPak® Pro harness, a comfort neck strap, a rangefinder pouch, objective and eyepiece caps, and a cleaning cloth suited to the multi-coatings. To preserve optical quality over time, clean the lenses exclusively with the supplied cloth or a non-abrasive microfiber cloth, and store the unit in its harness or protective case between uses. Waterproofing and argon purging allow use in humid conditions or temperature variations, typical of the Swiss mountains.
