Vortex Razor® HD Gen III 4-24x44 FFP EBR-7D MRAD - Precision Rifle Scope

Overview

The Vortex Razor® HD Gen III 4-24x44 FFP EBR-7D MRAD (model RZR-42402) represents optical excellence in a compact and lightweight format, compared to versions with a larger objective such as the Razor HD Gen III 6-36. Designed for precision rifle competition, tactical long-range shooting and demanding hunting, this scope adapts perfectly to gas-operated rifles of all types and suits NRL Hunter disciplines thanks to its controlled weight of 1021 g.

The front focal plane guarantees constant EBR-7D reticle subtensions at all magnifications from 4x to 24x, a major asset for Swiss shooters seeking precision and repeatability both in the field and at the range.

Technical Specifications

• 4-24x magnification, 44 mm objective: extended range allowing rapid transition from close-range to long-distance shooting without changing optics
• EBR-7D MRAD reticle, front focal plane (FFP): ultra-fine center dot of 0.03 MRAD and elevation/windage marks up to 35 MRAD, for fast and reliable corrections at all distances
• Turrets in 0.1 MRAD clicks, 10 MRAD per revolution: repeatable and predictable adjustments, confirmed during intensive real-world testing
• L-Tec+™ zero-stop system: ultra-stable locking that maintains zero even after intensive use
• 34 mm machined aerospace-grade aluminum tube: optimal robustness and rigidity to withstand shocks and vibrations
• Argon purged, waterproof and fogproof: guaranteed reliability in rain, snow or extreme alpine cold
• Lockable side-focus illumination, 11 levels: reticle visibility adapted to all lighting conditions, from dawn to dusk

Advantages

• Consistent precision at every magnification thanks to the front focal plane, ideal for quick correction calculations in dynamic shooting
• Compact format and contained weight compared to larger objective models, for extended carry without fatigue while hunting or competing
• ArmorTek coating and matte Stealth Shadow® finish: durable lens protection against scratches and optical discretion in the field
• Reliable and repeatable turrets, tested and validated for faithful tracking shot after shot
• Recognized versatility for gas-operated rifles and NRL Hunter disciplines, a relevant choice for demanding Swiss shooters

Use and Maintenance

Clean the lenses regularly using a microfiber cloth or a dedicated optical care kit, avoiding any abrasive products that could damage the ArmorTek coating. Store the scope in a dry place; thanks to the argon purge, it remains protected against fogging and moisture even during significant temperature variations, common in the mountains. Periodically check the tightness of the turret screws to ensure long-term zero stability.
