Overview
The Vortex Razor® HD Gen II-E 1-6x24 SFP VMR-2 MOA riflescope stands out as a high-end optical solution for tactical applications at short to medium range. Designed for shooters accustomed to the English graduation system (MOA), it combines a true 1x magnification for instinctive close-range shooting with both eyes open, with a power increase up to 6x for more precise engagements. This Gen II-E version, approximately 110 grams lighter than the original Gen II model, retains all the ruggedness and optical quality that have made the Razor line's reputation.
Technical Specifications
- 1-6x magnification, 24 mm objective: smooth transition from red-dot-style close-range shooting to precision shooting at medium range
- VMR-2 MOA reticle, second focal plane (SFP): illuminated center dot, visible in broad daylight, for rapid target acquisition
- Zero-resettable tactile turrets: 50 MOA of correction per turn, 1/4 MOA per click adjustment, capped and ultra-low profile to avoid snagging
- 30 mm aircraft-grade aluminum tube: rugged structure designed to withstand shocks and vibrations in the field
- 97 mm eye relief: highly forgiving eye box, comfortable even in dynamic shooting conditions
- Field of view from 36.6 to 6.1 m at 100 m: wide peripheral vision at minimum magnification, increased precision at maximum
- ArmorTek coating and argon purging: protection against scratches, waterproof and fog-free in all conditions
Advantages
- Instant transition between instinctive close-range shooting and precision shooting, without switching optics
- Proven field reliability: users report zero retention after several hundred rounds fired
- Construction rated as particularly solid by testers, suited for intensive tactical use
- Lightweight Gen II-E version: less weight at the front of the weapon without compromising optical quality
- Intuitive MOA graduation for shooters trained in the Anglo-Saxon correction system
Use and Maintenance
This scope is particularly suited to semi-automatic and assault rifles used in dynamic shooting, tactical competition, or professional applications. Thanks to its argon purging and waterproofing, it withstands the varied climate conditions found in Switzerland. Regular cleaning of the lenses with a microfiber cloth and periodic checking of the zero after transport or intensive use are recommended to preserve its performance. Vortex Optics offers its VIP warranty, ensuring lifetime replacement with no proof of purchase required in case of a defect, a mark of peace of mind for the buyer.
