Benefits
- More intuitive bearing-taking thanks to the damped needle that stabilizes quickly, even at a sustained pace.
- Dual 360°/6400 mils graduation suitable for individuals as well as training structures, clubs and professional teams.
- Map scales directly on the baseplate to limit conversions and save time in the field.
- Reassuring IPX7 waterproof construction in rain, fog or wet crossings.
- Compact 30 g format that stays available around the neck without weighing down the gear.
- Night reading made easier by phosphorescent markers, useful for early starts, dusk or dense forest.
Use and Maintenance
Use the compass flat, away from metal masses and electronic devices that could disturb the needle, then align the rotating capsule with the map before following your azimuth. For map work, rely on the 1:10000, 1:15000 and 1:25000 rulers as well as the triangle and circle templates to mark start, finish and intermediate points. After a wet outing, let the unit air dry before storage and keep the cord attached to keep the instrument within reach. Important reminder: this model is calibrated for the northern hemisphere only.
- Stable and fast oil-filled needle: easier sighting when quick decisions are needed in the field.
- Dual 360° and 6400 mils graduation: versatility for demanding leisure use, training and military applications.
- 1:10000, 1:15000 and 1:25000 scales: direct measurements on topographic maps without unnecessary calculations.
- Phosphorescent markers: visible reference points at night to stay on course in low light.
- IPX7 water resistance: protection against water up to 1 m for 30 minutes according to supplier data.
- Triangle and circle templates: quick plotting of start and finish symbols on the map.
- Only 30 g with olive green cord: comfortable wear around the neck, suited to long outings in Switzerland.
