Overview

The Carinthia HIG 4.0 jacket - HIG stands for High Insulation Garment - is the fourth generation of a cold-protection jacket designed for tactical operations, expeditions and demanding outdoor activities in temperatures down to -20°C. Developed in collaboration with military special forces and tactical law enforcement units, it combines high-performance insulation, an optimized cut and reduced external seams to minimize infrared signature (NIR).

Its water-repellent outer fabric with PTFE membrane and its hood, adjustable along 3 axes and stowable in the collar, allow this versatile jacket to withstand harsh weather without compromise.

Use and Care

The HIG 4.0 is used as an insulating outer layer during operations, bivouacs, expeditions or any static activity in extreme cold. The included compression sack makes storage between uses easy; be sure to store it uncompressed for the long term to preserve the loft of the insulation. Note: the technical outer fabric produces a slight rustling sound, making this jacket less suitable for hunting. For cleaning, follow the manufacturer's care instructions to preserve the PTFE membrane and the performance of the G-LOFT insulation.
